I'm just wondering what the best foundation for oily skin is? I recently got a sample of estee lauder double wear and was thinking it was grand enough so I'd maybe go with that when my foundation runs out but now I'm wondering has anyone had any experience of vichy dermablend?

I use No.7 Stay Perfect and No.7 Instant Radiance and find them great and I have an oily t-zone, but the rest of my skin (cheeks, jawline) are dry and it doesn't cling to/show up dry patches.

Stay Perfect is definitely better, more coverage, more lasting power, can be built up for more coverage without that caked look etc. It gives medium coverage but I find by using a stippling brush I can use more foundation to get a fuller coverage but without looking like I've troweled it on.

For daytime I use the Instance Radiance, it gives much lighter cover and the more you use to get more coverage the more of a caked look you get. It really only evens out complexion (for me anyway) and doesn't cover dark circles, redness, blemishes etc but Stay Perfect does.

It doesn't last as well or as long as the stay perfect does, but its fine for day wear.

Estee Lauder Double Wear is your man for staying put all day. I mean it doesn't budge until you take it off.

I've seen beauty bloggers rave about Vichy Dermablend; I haven't tried it myself (oily skin too) but apparently it gives fantastic coverage.

MAC Studio Fix also has pretty good staying power. It's a Marmite foundation though; some love it but it doesn't work for others at all. Make sure you get the right shade though; I was colour-matched by MAC once and it was dire. Shame because the foundation itself was good.

Lancome Teint Idole 24h Ultra is another long-lasting foundation. It made me break out but I know others who've loved it.

Make Up Forever Mat Velvet and Nars Sheer Matte could also work for you, but I haven't tried them so I can't really say much about them.

Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse could be a possible budget option either.

It's worth getting samples of the high end foundations before you buy, everyone's skin is different so what didn't work for me could be great for you and vice versa :)
