Un-vented hot water cylinder

    Hello All,
Yesterday I bought a stainless steel hot water cylinder to replace my existing copper cylinder. However I think today my impulse buy may not have been a clever move as I'v bought an unvented hot water cylinder. I have a cold water tank in my attic so I should have bought a vented cylinder... yes? Apologies for the stupid question but can I use an unvented cylinder on vented system. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

You can use an unvented cylinder as a vented cylinder. No issues whatsoever. Just can do it the other way round.

Thanks Shane for the prompt response and thanks for the good news.
I can now claim my impulse buy was a well thought out plan!
