So I have a work do tonight and would love to go but as I am a little over weight and it is a formal event Im too big to wear a dress. Feeling really depressed and down about it all day. I don't no what to do stay in and continue feeling like this or go out and meet them.

If I go out I will feel very undressed.

Nobody is too big to wear a dress! Very often the right dress is the best choice for a woman who is bothered by her weight (or even a man, thinking back to Demis Roussos when he was big).

It's a different problem if you haven't got the right dress in your current wardrobe. Can you beg, borrow, or buy something in time for the event?

C'mon lass! Your legs might be better than you rate them. Or you could wear something well below the knee.

Alternatively, tailored trousers and a long top, one that goes below the hips. Dressy accessories, and you're the biz!

    I don't much fancy tonight's television offerings.

You don't have to wear a dress that shows off your legs! Have you a plain colour maxi dress you could tart up with some accessories? Or how about nice trousers and a blazer with killer heels? Or a below the knee skirt with a sparkly top? There are so many options, if you want to go then you should go!!
