Help needed for a hd box

    Can any body help me I have an old white sky box but want to upgrade to a hd box and when I rang sky they wanted €200 for a new one. I can buy 1 on done deal for about €40 but want to know can I just put my sky card into the new box or do I have ring sky and tell them I got a new hd box and will they allow me to do this.

    yes you can do that, get a cheap hd box, but you have to ring sky to pair the card to box, and to get hd from sky ie sports they charge an extra 15 a month but i am surprised they wanted to charge you for a box. are you a subscriber? you should ring back and say you want to cancel, as you want to get hd and its cheaper to get a freesat hd box and I bet you get a free hd box and a reduced hd sub. You rang at a bad time and you probably never rang before so they try it on. it takes 31 days for cancelling to go through so if you happen to get same person just stand your ground, you can cancel your cancelling order before 31 days expire.
