    Hi everyone

Not sure whether to post here or limerick thread. Will be travelling to Killarney in March for 4 days coming from Limerick.

Our little king charles will be 7 months in march and it will be his first time in a kennel so looking for some good recommendations for a good kennel?

As we will be travelling to killarney some place hopefully in limerick or just on the outskirts.

    Thanks everyone :)

I'll be honest and say I don't really like any of the kennels in Limerick. There isn't one that stands out above the rest. They all offer the same thing: basic kennel accommodation for your dog and access to a concrete run, rotated throughout the day. No walks, no individual attention.

I'd go with Ilse - she only boards one or two dogs at a time, they come in the house (sometimes they stay in the house, depending) and get proper walks in the fields and forestry with her own, well-socialised dogs.

She's in Rockchapel which is out of the way, but she often meets up with clients in Mallow or Abbeyfeale, which would be on your route.

Hi thanks for that I have been talking to people in work and no one can really give a good kennel in limerick so said i would try here.

Just after sending them a message on facebook there now thanks again.

There was a fellow Seamus brophy out between the silver mines and nenagh, I've never kennelled dogs with him but I used to bring a dog out there for training he has a fine set up out there.

I don't say this lightly OP, but Ilse is one of very few people in this country that I'd be happy to leave my dogs with.
    :)

I'd tend to agree. I'm in Linerick, and have yet to kennel our 3 year old, having heard a lot of negative stuff.

I do have one friend who swears by this girl in 'A Dog's Life' in birdhill. (Hope this Facebook link works).
