Just wondering in pure skiing terms taking into account km of runs, lift infrastructure etc but ignoring the boozing/après what resort you've been to tops the lot!

    Mine wud probably be as follows;

    1. Zermatt, (views of Matterhorn are
    something special)
    2. Val d'isere, (funicular from 1800 to
    3400 is something else)
    3. Courcheval,
    4. St anton

I'm cheating a bit and picking an area rather than resort (2 actually)

We mostly stay on piste, so it would either be the 3 valleys or Espace Killy, purely for the amount and variety of runs.

As an overall holiday (hotels, town, après included) it would probably be St Anton, but I just seem to enjoy the skiing in France more.

Oh I think most people here know my choice, lol!! It has to be Soll, for the magic of the mountain- definitely not the apres (although that's a definite Brucie bonus!!) It's the whole atmosphere on the mountain and the witchiness of the place, I just love it!

For the OH it would definitely be La Grave, and I'm pretty sure if he's gonna die on skis, it'll be there. The hint is in the name ;-)

Glad to see the 3 places I've gone to/going to this year featuring so prominently

    Loved espace killy
Coming back down Santos at the end of the day dodging all the upturned skiers and doing half pipes is my idea of heaven...

Hitting la grave in 4 weeks and San Anton for the second time in 7 weeks.

San Anton has some beautiful runs esp back into town.
    My list. (Very limited experience)
    1. Val disere
    2. San Anton
    3. La grave

Ah Val D'Isere, next on my hit list, I have a friend there & his videos always look amazing... Enjoy La Grave Dr Nic! :)

For me you can't beat the mega French resorts. The 3 Valleys are superb and from what I saw of Tignes(did a ski-away day) I'd say the espace Killy would be similar. Les arcs was good but not as good as 3v imho.
Did a day in Zermatt and that was good too, it's on the list for a proper visit.
Chamonix is a place I'd like to experience too.

3v for crack cocaine piste mainlining. Give me your pistes. Give me more pistes. Give me more pistes than I can possibly consume. Then give me some more pistes.

Has to be the 3 valleys, val thorens in particular. It's just a winter wonderland.

Although haven't been to many other places.

The only problem with the 3vs is the absence of atmosphere and the lift system isn't great in parts.

Ischgl trumps it on both those counts but won't keep the piste junkie's bender going as long.

Leaving out après ski my choices are purely based on my enjoyment of the skiing , snow quality, piste map & lift system

    In order of preference...

    1. Ischgl
    2. Lech
    3. St anton
    4. Saalbach
    5. Mayerhofen
