Volunteering on condition of donation being made to charity

I'd like to offer some services on the condition that the recipients of the service make a donation to charity. I won't be getting any fee and the transaction would be completed through a mycharity.ie page.

The 2 services I'd like to offer are 1)accompanying learner drivers as they practice and 2)offering pre-purchase car inspections. I'm a qualified car mechanic and full driving license holder so I'm qualified to do both.

I'm currently unemployed and I know that driving instructors have to be regulated but I'm not providing lessons just accompanying them.
Any ideas on what way would an agreement like these be perceived?

Accompanying learner drivers might be okay if you remain sober and no money changes hands. However, for the car inspections, you might be accepting some liability even if you don't mean to.

I intend to stay fully sober though the level of their driving ability might determine how long I stay sober for afterwards!

Maybe some sort of disclaimer for the car inspection? I've no tools anymore so I'd just be using some knowledge and a flashlight but on cars I've inspected for friends or family I'd very often find something amiss.

Don't you have to be insured on the car if your accompanying a learner driver. So you can take over if needed. Would that mean the person your accompanying would have to get you put on their insurance.

I don't think that's a requirement but my own car insurance would cover me if need be.

    The requirements are as follows:

    Accompanied Driver

Category B Permit holders must be accompanied at all times:

The person acting as an Accompanied Driver must:

    1. - hold a full Driving Licence for the relevant category.*

    2. - have held the full Driving Licence for at least 2 years.

    3. - have the Driving Licence with them.

    4. - be in a fit state to drive legally.

    * If the accompanied Driver holds a full but restricted Driving Licence, he/she cannot act as an Accompanied Driver in an unrestricted vehicle.
