    Hi All

I have had a Garmin edge 510 for about a year now and last night for some reason it would not connect to my laptop tried a few different cables and no joy. It wont go into storage mode . When connected to the USB it just turn it on.

Any ideas in how to resolve this .

    Thanks

Maybe a software update but if it's not connection to your pc could be tricky. Did you try a hard reset of it.

it probably got wet.. (that's a really common fault with garmins)

leave it in a cup of rice to dry out.. or try a few different usb leads.. requires a bit of patience, but generally does the job

If it's wet, put it in a ziploc bag with rice, then put the bag into a hot press.
Is your phone working in the USB port(s) on your computer that you're trying.
Can you connect to it via Bluetooth and upload to Garmin connect via the Smartphone App. Download the GPX files from Garmin Connect.

Get a cover for the new model saves it a bit in wet conditions
