Had a look at this a few times and think it annoying that they call it an "app"
Unless I am mistaken it is just a website containing links
    Apps.ifarm.ie
    Am I missing something.?

I think it called a web app. A mix of web and an app

I'm involved in the ifarm programme and it was originally a pure 'web app' like the Financial Times or the Business Post where it can be launched in the browser and then works (within limits) like a native application. Another example is the BBC Sports App (iPhone) which is almost identical in structure and layout as the mobile web version.

There is an android version of ifarm available on Google Play that still uses the web part viewer as the main means of rendering info. The reason we went the web route was to try and reach the most people and make the most impact to farming community in terms of rendering useful info and also how a smartphone can complement farm business.

Now that things have moved on a wee bit and the Irish farmer population have moved up the experience curve, we are focusing on a redevelopment that will be purely native. I have started some of the preliminary redesign work and will begin redevelopment this quarter. Hope that clears things up a bit!

    Thanks for the informative reply.
    Much appreciated.
Looking forward to it being really an "app" in its current form I believe it should just be a link page on the IFA website.

Again --I look forward to seeing the next version (ps welcome to the forum;) )
