hey guys, quick question. I've just been offered a HR position working in a childrens centre. I wouldnt be working with children, but nevertheless, i need to get a garda vetting form completed and returned. My only question is a few years ago, when I was young and immature, i was in court for drunk/disorderly twice. Now, i forget whether or not the judge put it on my criminal record. Im just wondering what I should do, will it show up? and if so, should I explain myself or would it matter? I really want this job, I've been to over 40 interviews trying to get a HR job. How far back do they go?

    Many thanks,

Garda s4 data request. Will take ya 40 days though.

    - Thats not for garda vetting but it till show if its on your record or not.

ok, i think i will just speak with them and explain. I spoke to a friend, who is a guard, and he said its more to check that I wasnt convicted of anything relating to children. but nonetheless, They might look at the two convictions and be like ah he is a weirdo... which I am not lol. just was young and foolish at the time. any suggestions
