Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to do a Gift Tax return? Do professionals generally charge a fee which is a percentage of the asset transferred? Thanks :)

No. Most accountants/tax advisers charge based on time and hourly rates, so the cost will depend on how complex the situation is - gift tax can be complex though it might not be in your case.

Suggest you call a couple of local firms - you may need to provide some background so they can get a feel for the likely time required - but you won't be under any obligation till you're ready.
