Before xmas, there was a BA on a 'Senseo' for €18 which i bought on amazon along with an insert called a 'CoffeeDuck'.

'With the Coffeeduck, you can convert your Senseo coffeemaker into an espresso machine. The Coffeeduck is actually a 2-pod holder that can also be used for ground coffee.'

    More info here

Now what i do is buy in fairtrade roasted beans, grind some for 15 seconds every morn - then transfer the ground coffee to the coffee duck for a wonderful coffee.

    No more pods for me..

Your probably getting a much better cup of coffee - for me though when I use ground coffee it goes all over the place - well it does anyways before I have my first cup to wake me up !

The Senseo is a nice little coffee machine when you use a coffee duck as well - as you aren't tied to pods completely.

On occasion I still grind coffee as well - however I find the ese pods great in terms of convenience and keeping the place clean.
