Cracked my CX frame this morning and need a replacement pronto.

Looking for alu frame or frameset with eyelets for mudguards, braze-ons for carrier and mount point for and canti brakes.

Doesn't matter if paintwork is damaged, so long as the frame is true and dent free.
    Size 56cm or 57cm.

Price must be below 250 as I can get a new Dolan for that money, albeit at the end of Feb:(

Will consider a full CX bike below 400 too

Think I'll hold out for something with eyelets and carrier brazes, I want to convert the CX bike to a tourer for the summer months.

yeah nine speed, 50-39-30 ultegra crankset octalink. Have no receipt, bought it in psycho logical, since closed down, bike in vgc, never abused

9 speed makes interchanging wheels from my other bike and wheelsets (all 10sp) a hassle, I doubt I'd be able to flog any of the 9spd parts either.

    Thanks anyway

    Hi GlennaMaddy
I've a titanium Airborne Carpe Diem CX bike in my shed - 54cm. It's several years old, but the frame is as new (titanium doesn't degrade), apart from the decals, which are in poor order. Airborne don't exist any more, but Van Nicholas bought their designs and are very similar. Braze-ons for mudguards, carrier and canti brakes (took off the carrier, but the rest is on the bike). Light, comfy, nice ovalised crossbar for easy carrying. I've never CXed it, but its done a few miles on the road. Real CX frame, with big clearance and cantis and all that.

It's currently kitted out with an Ultegra triple (also several years old, also in great shape) and a somewhat tired steel fork, and some much newer but unspectacular wheels. Drop me a PM if you're interested and we could discuss pictures and so on. I'd be happy to sell the complete bike, but would also consider just the frame.

update - found my old ad for this..here's some more detail

Steel fork, some patches of paint are chipped (see pix) but 100% functional. V brake bosses and clearance for fat tyres, though I've always use it as a pure road bike.

Full Ultegra drive train, triple crankset 172.5mm. Perfect for long days in the hills. While some of the surface is worn off the shifters they are sweet and smooth, as is the rest of the transmission. Very little wear on components, again see pix.

Brakes are tektro frog legs at front and xt v brakes at back.

    Brand new saddle and bars.

Brand new Fulcrum Racing 7s, .

Sorry for not getting back to you brownian, the size is too small for me, 56cm is the minimum fit for me.
