Minimum legal requirements for conveyancing solicitor

    Hypothetical.

Is there a legal minimum requirement for what a solicitor must do in terms of conveyance when a property is sold or is it purely subject to what the purchasers solicitor feels is required.

In particular the requisition 37 and MUD act pre contract requisition forms. Can a property be sold without a management company ever having been requested to complete them? Is this something that is 'good' to do rather than actually legally required.

edit: according to preface only updated last in July 2006 so 5 years before MUD act?

Sorry, the provisions of the MUD Act behave as an overlay but it doesn't necessarily alter the general duties of solicitors in relation to requisitions, perhaps just the nature of them.

Admittedly, it is a while since I did any conveyancing related work - in fact the last time I did such work pre-dates that edition of the handbook. Perhaps someone more up-to-date on these aspects can assist further.
