    Hi every one,

    I've got a mac book pro, 2009 13 inch 2.5 ghz 4gb ram.
To be honest it served me fantastically over the years and still works, its getting very hot these days and slugish, :(.

I emptied the hard drive and left it empty but still it makes a lot of noise.
I've been toying with the idea of going back to snow leopard or Lion.

Programs I use Creative Cloud adobe Photoshop Light-room 5 bridge, photo mechanic.

I dont really use anything else online browsing. at times.

I thought about doing a 5 pass whipe and doing a complete reinstall its a pain, but I need to get it working a little snappier again.
I'm going t upgrade the ram to 8 gigs in a few weeks. maybe it needs a clean on the inside dust?

How about a fresh install of Mavericks and an SSD? Doing the first half of this made my late 08 machine run well.
