I am hoping to try and get some concert tickets next week and I may need to use the phone for buying. About this secure code: I know with online shopping after using your card a page comes to verifiy your card. What would happen with over the phone purchases?

Those services are only for online purchases. Over the phone purchases, you'll be asked for just the card number/expiry/security code from the rear of the card.
