Have been using logmein since forever, have it installed on everyone's computers so I can log in if I'm asked to fix anything. Just went to log into it there & they're pulling th plug on the free version in seven days.

So I need an alternative.... Suggestions ?

I've used TeamViewer a number of times and works pretty well.

It's annoying.. Not really giving us a lot of time either. Forcing our hands..

Another vote for TeamViewer, used it for a while now and never had a problem with it, always works great for remote login.

Have also switched recently from LogmeIn to TeamViewer.

Yeah, Teamviewer is the best free, I use it, but nice to also have a few alternatives. UltraVNC is good also.

Unfortunately, I have a few PC's on my Logmein accounts.

Moved to TeamViewer today and does everything I need, with the added bonus of a handy file transfer that the free LMI didn't have

Actually happier with it than LogMeIn... I assume this is going to cost them an almost insane amount of users

Then TeamViewer will go as a paid subscription. If you're using LogmeIn to service and repair machines for which you're being paid, get it rather than opening VNC ports on firewall or anything like that.

Alternately, connect to your client via VPN and turn on Remote Management on macs and get yourself a copy of Apple Remote Desktop.

Chrome Remote Desktop is very decent for a freebie, iOS and Android apps coming soon too

Does that run on a server? I'm slowly swapping over my PC's, and I'm just after realising that Teamviewer Free, doesn't allow you to install in on Servers/NT Software.

Having heard a bit about Ammyy, I was thinking of trying that, I know it's one of the applications the Scammers (Microsoft PhoneCall) use, but I have been told it is pretty good. - I'll probably try Chrome first, but is it new? Any bugs?

    Thanks.
