Has anyone any experience of using one? I am dealing with someone who was contracting in the uk and they used one. Not looking to use it again just trying to understand how they operate.

Lots of people in the uk have used them. Lots of these people got presented with a very large tax bill by HMRC several years later. Tread carefully.
