I'm not sure if this is available but I am trying to find out about counselling services that are free of charge. Would this be covered under the medical card?

I mean a one to one session with a counsellor in person.

Sorry OP - per our charter we cannot give recommendations or give medical advice. Please go talk to your GP to see what services are available in your area.
    ** REQUESTS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS **
We often get requests for recommendations for therapists and the like in particular geographical areas.

We cannot give recommendations - you should choose a therapist based on how well YOU get on with them not how well someone else does, any thread asking for recommendations will be locked.

There is an excellent thread in the Psychology Forum on how to go about finding a counsellor, therapist or psychologist for yourself HERE which we recommend you read instead.
