Just got an update for the my Dublin Bus App.

Update notes states fair calculator so was interested to see how it worked.

Well if they couldn't of designed it worse if they tried.

Use your favorites to select stops , no
Use the routes listed at a stop ,no
Multiple trips ,no

Well on the upside try and use the web version of the fair calculator on a mobile phone, it's nigh on impossible. But I agree with your points otherwise. Also could do with some form of speed improvement / caching around the fetching of routes and stops.

It's grand. Sure why would you want favourites should know/remember the fare at that stage... It a simple design, which is great to get fast and easy access to the info.

Believe it or not I maybe in a random place and decide to get a bus or decide to go to a different destination from a favourite than normal .

You'd only be saving yourself a second or two at best...

Doesn't work for calculating any 'odd' runs - e.g. extended 61 120 or any 65 past blessington..

Apps should be seamless. This has more seams than a suit made out of off cuts

Three steps is seamless.

1. Click fare
2. Click route
3. Search for route
4. Select route
5. Click direction
6. Select direction
7. Click stop
8. Search for stop
9. Select stop
10. Click stop
11. Search for stop
12. Select stop
It's 12 steps not 3 , it would be 3 if the information is pre populated such as

Click fare

Search for destination stop /Click favourite

Select destination stop/ Select favourite
There are a half a dozen other features which need to be polished too

However we clearly aren't going to agree on this

Seems like a FAIR way to calculate the FARE.

See what I did there?
