I'd like to remove a plastic badge that is factory standard on my car. How/What is the best way to do this or is there any places that do it? Anybody done it before?

    Thanks

If you have a search on youtube then you may find a few videos of how to debadge a car.

You can use a plastic card to saw it off so to speak, the plastic card will serrate the two sided tape, use some thinners to clear up the residue of the the tape left on the body work then.

The main thing I am afraid of is that after removing the badge, the outline will still be there. That's what I am afraid of.

The paint work will be more shiny for sure but polish up the panel and you will be on the ball ;)

    Hot water works fine.

If that is the case badges would be falling off cars at car washes everywhere.

    Heat with hair dryer
Use floss to "saw" the glue
Use a gentle solution to remove residue glue
    Polish and wax

Some brands have screws or pins.
Check on google and youtube for your brand.

Ha no I'm serious, I've de badged a few cars doing this. Just use something like an old credit card to pull it off and pour boiled water from the kettle over the badge. It heats up the glue and makes it easier to get off. :)
