    Hi!
I was considering booking Brooklodge in Aughrim Co. Wicklow for my wedding. I have viewed the venue recently and was very impressed.
I would appreciate opinions of people who have had their wedding there. Any advice also would be great.
    Thanks!

We viewed it. It was a bit further afield for us but we liked it and we like the fact that their food is organic. Their bar food was really good, so I imagine wedding food should be good too.
My MIL was there for a wedding couple of years ago (don't know if they still have same staff) and she said the food was fabulous and the little separate civil "church" they have on the grounds is really fab for a civil wedding that still has that traditional feel.

we got married there 2 and a half years ago. We had a humanist ceremony on site in their church thing. We found all the planning very easy with them, they were really well organised and professional. Nothing was too difficult. Food is amazing and still gets commented on to this day (even though we had no choices on the menu - beef or vegetarian) Room looks great at night. We were also really attracted by the layout - outside is really accessible by everyone including smokers, and the residents bar is also right there for the older people who want to stay up but not do the dancing thing. so everyone could do their thing but not be segregated.

Only thing I would have liked was more colour/flowers in the garden/picture area. It was all very green, but thats just a tiny quibble!

    Hope it hasnt changed!

I've always been struck how friendly and helpful the staff are in Brooklodge.

I was at a wedding there last summer and it was lovely - the bride and groom were very happy with it.

The staff seemed very friendly the food was good - the reception area is lovely and because it was a wonderful summer we spent a large amount of time out-doors.

It is a little out of the way but you can organise a bus for guests who won't be staying the night and they will appreciate it.
