    Hi Guys,

Looking to buy a new Kia Sportage and seek opinions on it as although the web is full of reviews I rather get an Irish perspective.

Also does anyone know what kind of discounts you get for cash (straight sale)

And finally any recommendations of Dealers in Louth/Meath/Dublin.

    Thanks

The Sportage is getting a facelift soon so you might get a better discount off the old model if that doesn't bother you.

The only bad things I heard about them were the less than great fuel economy of the diesel and early problems with the front seats that seem to prematurely wear quickly.

I just bought a new ceee'd through Rice & Roddy in Dundalk, great dealers, cheaper than anyone else I spoke to.

Don't own one but they are possibly the best looking of the crossovers.

I wouldn't be so sure about that ^
Warranty on the Kia is the best in the business (unless you're doing big mileage)

Sorry, OP, gone off topic a bit!

I'd never disrespect a business on here but a Google of that dealership will tell all you need to know.

Barrables in Airside swords are quite competitive and were for my father.

They are however as already stated, quite fond of the juice and somewhat underpowered when you need the boot.

Overall though, a nice drive and a fine motor.

    Thanks for the info chaps..

My only problem with Rice and Roddy is that they went out of business recently as a renault dealer and where taking money of people up until the last minute (had a few friends burned).

The warranty is the main thing for me, but I am going to test drive one at the weekend to get a feel for it, and as said before there is a facelift model coming so might get a good deal on the current model.

My mileage would be around 15k a year maybe 17k all motorway driving from Dundalk to Dublin or Belfast.

    Thanks again

Sorry but I cannot stress enough I don't recommend Barrables
