Know somebody who would burn a ticket for a sport/ stage event if they could not sell

The famous one that comes to mind is for me the Ticket tout who gets himself filmed burning the world cup match ticket. No doubt, many tickets for pop concerts snapped up by skangers are wasted when they can't be sold on eBay. Do you know anybody like this? Here's your chance to do the dirt on 'em!

Why just not use the ticket if one could not sell it?

    What?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

How often does this come up?

Touts get burned quite often these days. I remember at the Heineken Cup final in Edinburgh a few years back seeing a tout stuck with a fistful of tickets, it made me feel both happy (at him presumably having his investment going down instead of up) and annoyed (for the people who wanted to go to it but couldn't thanks to touts) at the same time.

Burning the ticket sounds just a tad dickish though

Not a ticket but looking on adverts.ie and seeing people with two/three PS4's being greedy selling them for over 500 euros each.
