when your loading say a 10x5,

and it has a dividing gate for satey. I assume this is to splid the load 50/50

how does one load the animals.

load 2, then close gate, and then load another 2? ?

    how does it work,

is it 10/5 upwards that has dividing gates?

Think there sorta more if you only put 2 in you can keep them forward to stop them taking weight off the back of the jeep, or else if your putting cows and calves in, you can keep the calves seperate so they dont get hurt

Either that or if you were carrying calves or sheep so that they wouldn't get thrown all over the length of the trailer

The only time we would use it is moving cows and calves, run up the calves, close the gate and the cows will load themselves.
I wouldn't like to follow 2 cattle into a box and go about closing the dividing gate. Recipe for getting broke up.

We have a 12 x 6 with one and the gate can be moved to a position every 2 foot I think. If we're filling the trailer we never use it though. It will probably stop you fitting as many cattle in. Really we only ever used it to keep cattle separate for unloading or loading in 2 different places etc.
We tie it open if you want to use it as you say you will have to load 2 and 2 but without using it you'll get 5.

ok, doesnt sound as important as i thought.

just thought if i bought 2 350kgs bullocks in the mart i was expected to do a circus act and trap then as high up in the trailer as i could. . .

while the ring emptys out and watch. .

good. . . so get them in asap and close door.

    cheers lads.

You can if you want but do you really want to follow them up and try to swing a gate. In fairness if there's only 2 probably on safety grounds you maybe should but with four I definitely wouldn't bother.
At the mart anyone looking is probably looking to get loading themselves and if you pull out with the loading door down with a bullock hanging out the back they won't care.

if you havent a full load in a large box (especially with heavy animals) always keep them towards the front
