Usually use 2.5mm high tensile for a permanent fence.
It's sold by weight .A roll is 25 kg, approx 500 metres and about €50.

Is it 500 or 600 meters in a roll?

bull wire a pain in the ass . easy to bend to attach egg type insulaters etc. but you can never strain it to the same tension, nor keep it tight. high tensile the only job, and longer length for the same weight roll.o
