This evening I hit a new milestone and completed a very small, but very personal to me, collection.

It took me two years to complete, but I am finally over the finish line (I think!). So I wanted to share it with you (except Retr0gamer because he likes the CD-i*). :)

    * I always wanted that Voyeur game. Was it smutty? ;)

I learned something new today, Laser discs were actually developed by McDonnell Douglas under the name Laserfilm. This was in 1984 prior to Laserdiscs coming to market as optical media in 1991.

Interesting stuff (if you're a sad twat like myself).

I was only pulling your leg!
Tho I've never seen one in the flesh.
Any chance off a banana beside a disc for scale?

A laserdisc is about the size of a 12" vinyl. They are double sided so if you were to buy a player today, you'd want one preferably with auto flip so you don't have to get up to change sides.

Lots of nice stuff can be found on Laserdisc. :)

What exactly is on the laserdiscs. Audio? Video? Gameplay footage etc?

3 of them are superplays but also tips, strategies, highlights, outtakes, bloopers etc.

Darius Gaiden is the best one though as it has a proper, live action movie on it, which also happens to be rather ace. :)
