    still having problems brake will not disengage from stationary, disconnected battery for 30 mins no joy! any clues ?????

    Are there any warning lights/messages coming on when h/brake acts up ?? Unfortunately by disconnecting the battery you have erased any faults that may have been stored. When you say that you release the h/brake manually, do you mean by operating the control switch or are you pulling the release cable in the centre console?. The 2 most common problems that
    i have come across when the h/brake would not release when going to move off were: The gear position/reverse light switch [the ecu does not get the message that the car is in gear ] : The clutch pedal position sensor sticking.

    The car needs to go on a diagnostic tool to check properly
