Looking to upgrade my gaming rig. Been a long time coming. Looking to spend around €500.
I need a CPU, RAM, SSD and MOBO.
    I have a 7950 vapor x and a 530 watt PSU.

    CPU (have q6600)
    i5 4670k

    MOBO (have striker extreme)
    ASUS H87-PRO (C2)

    RAM (have 4x1gb)
    8GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CL9

    SSD (have HDD)
    Samsung 840 evo basic 250

Just want to make sure its all right or anything I could improve.
    Thanks.

You should get a z87 board rather than H87 for overclocking of the CPU (or a non K version of the CPU if you won't be.)

Something like this would do the job just fine

What CPU cooler are you getting (or just using teh stock one for now)? Sometimes the RAM with bigger heatsinks can be blocked by certain coolers so its probably better to get low profile version just in case.

Cheers I have a Zalman CNPS9900 MAX. I only bought recently and a z11 case.

Not sure if I will be overclocking atm, its a €15 difference for the non K version so not really a big difference.

Better off with the K version, its simple to overclock when you need to.

Ah. Just checked the fan I have and it says combatability is with Intel sockets 1156, 1366, 775. So will it fit the 1150?

Put this together last night and really happy with it. Great having something that can do new games on ultra. ARMA 3 looks brilliant on it. Love the boot times and speed of winodws with ssd. The fan i was worried about fit fine and is keeping the cpu below 30 on silent mode.

    Thanks.
