Hi folks. As the title suggests I'm looking for recommendations as to which club would be good for a beginner to join in either Galway City or County.

I played for a year or two about 10 years ago, and I'd like to get back into it.

Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated, thank you all.

Where do you live? Galway County is a big place.

Just on the East side of the city. Connemara would be the only place that wouldn't suit location-wise though

Oughterard is €400 for new members this year. Great value if its convenient for you.

Try Cregmore for the year at €295-.

    - Very close to you.
    - Wide open course so not too daunting for beginner.
    - Not too busy.
    - Driving range for a bit of off course practice.
