My dad had mentioned this to me before. Its about how the S class merc can scan the road ahead and adjust suspension to soften the blow of potholes, bumps etc. (A system that would be put to the test in Ireland I'd say). Its part of its "Magic Body Control".

The Article below has a bit about it.

Anyway my dad saw this ad the other day which we both thought was very good and somewhat different approach from Mercedes.

Its true - you can also see a similar effect with ducks/geese etc when they are flying - the head is stationary and the body moves up and down.

New S Class is like something from the future. Makes the XJ look like a dinosaur. Jag know this, hence the sour grapes ad.

The jag ad is crap - it boasts about reacting but the merc ad shows that it takes action beforehand.

    Dear Mercedes,

I would like the loan of an S-Class fitted with this technology for 24 hours. I plan on taking it on backroads in counties Mayo, Sligo and Donegal. Don't expect the Magic Body Control system to be working when I return the car.

    Regards

    FFS

bose did this in the 90s . Here it is on an ls400 , im sure the mercedes system is quite advanced, but this system is still a massive improvement on most suspension.
