Hi I just moved to Douglas cork and need to get set up with internet and tv. Interested in good broadband with basic tv package to include basic sports, does anyone know who are doing the best deals at the moment.

Eircom eFiber and UPC both have high speed broadband in Douglas. There's also a wireless provider called Nova Networks.

UPC is the best speed/value in my opinion.

I'm with Eircom as I can't get UPC to my house. Paying €55 a month for phone line, broadband and some phone minutes. I can get 30MB reliable speeds with my 50MB bundle.

Some areas in Douglas are blackspots for mobile broadband. But you can usually try those for free to see if they work ion your area.

I use Freesat & Soarview for my tv, so it's free :)

Eircoms new eVision may suit you for basic tv. It's tv over your broadband (and reduces the speed a little). It's better than freesat as it has both Irish and English channels on the one tv guide.

    Hope that helps :)
