I have a car that has 2 fairly big dents in the sill, now I was thinking maybe trying to pull the dents out and try straighten as best I can then sand back, fill, prime and paint all diy...now before I take on this job from you more experienced lads would replacing the sill be a more straight option? I know its hard to say without seeing it but in general with sill repairs are you best to weld in new part of sill or would my diy idea be alright?

    Cheers

Your plan is ok, but it might be worth getting a price from. A proffessional , as dodgy sill repair will ring alarms bells for future purchaser, however because of the way it's low a hidden you'll get away with poorer finish than say on a wing.
Maybe pull the dents with self tapping screws first.

bring it to a panel beater, they will sort it for you.

there should be no need to change the sill.
