Would you like to be famous?

Consider all the bad that would go along with the good.

If you were famous, the likelihood is that you'd be rich, too, but obviously that's not completely a given.

So, without over-thinking the question, or stripping the topic apart piece by piece before considering your response, just go with your gut - would you like to be famous?

No. If the job I really wanted to do brought me into the public eye, I'd try to deal with it. But I'd never in a million years try to be famous.

I wouldn't mind a moderate amount of fame like a well known TV star. I reckon you'd still get the little benefits fame brings

I wouldn't want to be a huge superstar like Brad Pitt or Lionel Messi. I reckon that would be too much hassle. People following you and bugging you and waiting for you to mess up at every turn.

Although the money would be nice to have I wouldn't consider it a pre-requisiite for my being famous.

I guess I'd like to write books or plays and get well paid for them. But I'd make sure that my private life was off limits. I guess the way to go would be only to do the necessary promotion work when you have something to sell. The rest of the time I would stay out of the way.

No, feck that I'd hate to have my life disected publicly. Look at poor John McAreavey, can't even get on with his life without it being on the front page.

I've had a taste of what it's like to be in the headlines, it's nasty and the media are not to be trusted.

So no, I would hate to be famous. I would like to be rich though

Only if I had some commodity / talent that was responsible for it and ALSO made me rich. Otherwise I would hate it. Be like some of the old Big Brother contestants that everyone remembers but yet they never managed to make a career on the back of it or even
any decent cash from the 15 mins it gave them.

I'd put up with being famous if it meant being rich. As long as it wasn't paparazzi in your face every second of every day famous. I don't think it would bother me, as long as it mean being really rich. I would never actively strive for fame tho, I've no real desire to have other people know who I am.

Yeah i'd like to be famous.. but be able to keep some sort of annonimity... like a mediocre premiership footballer, take in 30k+ a week, prob have the pic of women in your area and be loved (hopefully) in your home country, but would be able holiday in New York or most places in the world and not be noticed... or a bass player/drummer in a successful band, would anyone really recognise the bass player for artic monkeys if he walked down the road past them.. actually i was watching the UK Voice (there was nothing else on

) last night and the second member of "The Streets" auditioned and none of the judges even recognised him.. im sure he lived the famous lifestyle without bein harrassed too much.. so i suppose id liketo be a little bit famous but have an escape if needs be!!!

I'd kind of like to be a big deal and have many leather bound books and an apartment that smells of rich mahogany.
