Camping in France / Spain in June

    Hey

Looking for some advice / recommendations into the above topic. I'm hoping to book a family holiday to a campsite in either France or Spain this June. Party is two adults and 3 kids (14, 5 and 1.5). Initially we tried to book the campsites in Sanguli or Cambrils but they are both full up with no availability. Then when trying to find another alternative site (around Spain mainly), it seems like most sites dont really "get going" till around 24th June. We must return before that date unfortunately.

Has anyone any experience of going to a site (in either France or Spain) in earlyish June that is completely up and running? Most places seem to have most shops / restaurants closed till that date in June. Obviously the most important criteria is that there'll be something for my teenager to do, but also enough kids clubs for the 5 year old.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated. It may well be the case that I've left it too late unfortunately. :(

Hi there we were the same looking for a camping holiday in Spain when one of our friends told us about Sanguli. Went on the net and tried to book on-line but kept getting same message for a few days telling us that it was all booked out. So I took the chance and rang them and they had availability. Apparently these places are so good people book a year in advance with the campsites but of course a year is a long time and many have to cancel.

So I'd recommend giving them a call and see if they have any availability. We were blessed got a lovely villa for 3 adults and 3 kids end of May 1st week in june for only €497. Thats the last week of their offers. Plus you want to book quick cost of flights going up pretty quick with Ryanair.

Yes before my children started school we were able to go in late May or June to avail of the cheap prices. Plenty of campsites are lively enough. Best bet is to look on Tripsdvisor as you'll get a you'd idea from there. Irish secondary schools finish in May and are probably among the earliest though so not sure about activities for teenagers. Yelloh Village and Les Castels seem to have plenty to do early and late season.
