The most common cause of no heat is usually a sticking thermostat. After the engine warms up, feel the cooling hose on each side of the thermostat housing. If one side is still cold, then there's your problem. It's a simple DIY fix and wont cost a fortune, €20 should cover it.

Remember to top up the coolant afterwards to replace any that may have been lost during the swap.

And don't overtighten the thermostat housing bolts, as the housing itself can be a rather brittle alloy or even plastic.

It could be that you're running very low on coolant. Check and top up if needed.

Good stuff and apologies for neglecting to mention the obvious. It's always nice when the solution is the simplest one. Keep a regular eye on the coolant level for the moment, just to be sure you don't have a leak.

the "how" is as important as the level - where's the coolant going? For it to be so low there's no heater, it's going somwhere, either a leak, or it's going through the bores and out the pipe.

is it still only cold air coming out after driving for 15/20 minutes?? if there's not even warm air coming out, then theres a problem with heater controls as a stuck open thermostat will allow the coolant warm up sufficiently to blow warm air, but not exactly hot air.

07 car!! Surely this has a coolant level sensor.
Sensor should have warned you the level was low long before you noticed cold air in the cabin due to low coolant

Looked at a Fiat Panda last night where similar issues to the OP's were reported. In this case unfortunately, the water pump is duff - it's plastic impeller has failed.

New pump and timing belt on the way.....
