best to start a dialogue with the local conservation officer.
    but see here

    1. how old is the house
    2. and what do you need a grant for ?

1800 as far as I know
    Cavan
Just to do it to conservation officer guidelines wud be be very costly!
We bought the house and it was renovated but not very well it riddled with dam and needs new roof etc
