    Hi All,

    Some maintenance help ...
I need to replace my large (52t) and middle (42t) chainrings on a FSA triple crank (130mm).

Are all 130mm 52t chainrings compatible across the various brands (FSA, Shimano, SRAM)? does it matter if each brand specifies that its for a double or a triple or if it does not specify at all... I assume that a ring with the correct diameter should not matter whether its for a double or triple..

    Any help is much appreciated!

From reading the installation instructions on a Shimano chainset that I installed recently, 9-speed and 10-speed chainrings are not interchangeable on a triple. Other than that, I would think that, for the large ring, double vs. triple doesn't matter. But someone else may know better.
