Aerlingus Vouchers Expiry

I'm seeking clarification on the expiry date of Aerlingus Gift Vouchers.
According to the T&C's :
Voucher is valid for the purchase of tickets within 12 months (365 days) from the date of purchase and cannot be used after its expiry.

So I am wondering, can I make a booking before the expiration date of the voucher , but for a travel date AFTER the expiration date of the voucher.
For example, if my voucher expires tomorrow (Monday), could I make a booking with it today, for a flight departing Tuesday or must the travel dates also be within the 12 months ?

Statement is self explanatory I would have thought ?

Its already crystal clear to me that tickets must be purchased within 12 months.
It doesn't mention though about whether the travel date has to be within 12 months aswell.

It says cannot be used after the expiry.

Contact the company direct if you still don't know.

Hi,
I actually know the answer to this one for sure as I was in the exact same position last year and there was no way that AE would extend the expiry date for me. It just wasn't possible for us to travel within the given time frame. So anyway it expired on 31st August 2012. I went online on 30th August 2012 and booked flights for March 2013, which was the furthest out I could push the dates. So the answer is yes, you have to book the flights within the time period before your voucher expires, but no you don't have to fly within those dates.
