Portable Satellite dish.

    Hi. I am taking the kids camping this year and was thinking of bringing a satellite dish and reciever. I already have a sky box but need a satellite dish. Could someone recomnend a dish size as I have read on other threads not to buy the lidl portable satellite system as it is rubbish.

    Where are you going camping? A zone 2 dish (60cm) will only get you limited BBC/ITV reception in north west mainland Europe! (Ireland, uk, northern France, Belgium, Holland and north west Germany)

    I was quite satisfied with the results from the kit I bought some years ago from Lidl.
    Certainly it would not have been as good as my fixed set up ...... but it surely worked ...... after a bit of messing about with fixings and angles etc etc. ...... in West of Ireland.

    It wasn't too small ...... but it was not easy to get properly aligned ;)
