    Hi,
The kitchen sink is blocking up then releasing the water and its flowing all over the floor. I need a plumber but as I have never called one before I would like some recommendations or advice as to who I should contact. I live in the South Dublin area.

    Thank you for your help!

I'm not a plumber! Sorry, but I had this SAME issue (and panic!) not long ago - so its only a guess but might save you some cash. It's most likely a sink blockage - get some really good drain cleaner and do several rounds with that. I called for a plumber when I released the sink drain and it backed out via the washer and flooded the kitchen floor that way - and mine was a blockage - he advised trying to clear it and if it didn't work he'd come out that day - joyfully got to ring him back and say he could stay at home - both of us were happy!

So, again, no professional advise and can't guarantee but you might save yourself some money bar some drain cleaner! Tesco have a type (not seen it elsewhere, but its not Tesco brand) cannot for the life of me think of the name - but its in a bright orange bottle and it should rattle as its little white beads/balls in it - that stuff is a MIRACLE, its saved me many times with blockages - they key to its success is once some has gone down the drain to finish washing it down with a full kettle of boiling water!

Hope my free advice is worth something! I remember the panic I was in that day (a sunday!) posting all over facebook and here as well! Finally got through to that plumber who was at a birthday party and would have come out if needed but he said that was worth a try and thankfully it did the job! Hope its the same for you! If you can find that orange bottle of stuff its the business and if its blocked that'll do the job - don't forget to rise it with hot water (I think that sorta "activates it" and turns it into a clog busting foam!
