I just swapped out from a netopia router to an eircom and am facing some annoying problems

Although speedtest.net says my download speed has increased by 2mbs to 3mbs pages are loading much slower and they are also crashing on chrome.

This is my latest test with the new router http://www.speedtest.net/result/3223947327.png

Also on games, I am getting high fluctuating pings. On servers closest to me the ping jumps from the 30s-90s sporadically. Lag spikes are also common.

    Hi Irishredawg
You should give our broadband tech support tea, a call on 1890260260. This will have to be checked. Can you ensure you are connected directly into main socket before calling, as this does help in troubleshooting.
    Tony
