Not sure how but Privitize VPN has been deleted from my Windows XP. Shows as an error on startup.

Under, control panel, network connections, I see no LAN or wireless connections.

I started wireless zero configuration but no change.

Dell Wireless WLAN shows the wifi connection but does not receive an IP address .

    Any way to resolve this?

Search for 'Privitize VPN' it would appear to be adware/malware.

I can find it alright...assume I delete it?

How do I get WZC back as the wireless manager...have it turned on?

Have you ran a malware/virus scan recently? Look in Device manager (Right click My Computer->Properties->Hardware tab->Device Manager) for any disabled or faulty devices or drivers

    Have trouble running the scan.

Doing the check in device manager: the following associated with Macafee

-Broadcom 440x''''''''''' Macafee Core NDIS Intermediate file Import
-Dell Wireless 1300 WLAN''''''''''' Macafee Core NDIS Intermediate file Import
-WAN Miniport''''''''''' Macafee Core NDIS Intermediate file Import

However, all of them without the Macafee ending are working?

Privitize VPN is not always malware, correct?

Would it have got corrupted and prevented WZC from managing the wireless connection?

Try disabling the McAffee firewall and see if it helps, could be a firewall issue
