how many penalty points before loosing licence

ive been done three times this year for speeding and was done once in june 2012 , where would that leave me

correct answer would be appreciated , asked in the legal section but all I got was smug lecturing

Just for a laugh, ask the question in AH :eek:
But yeah, Its 12 points. The amount of points you get vary from 2 to 4.

so if the first fine was in june 2012 and I got three from august 2013 to the very end of December 2013 , how many would that leave me with ?

Ring 1890 41 61 41 and quote driving licence number to find out how many points on your licence or ring local motor tax office. (From Garda website).

8 at least, if you only got 2 per offence

Losing the licence if you got more for two offences.

If you only got two points for each offence youb be at eight. But some of the points might vary. You could be as high as ten or eleven. Im not sure how youd check though unfortunately..
