No Signal on FTA Channels

Hi, I have a Ferguson Ariva 150 Combo box. Over Christmas sometime, the UK free to air channels cut out, each channel flashing 'no signal' when you flick through. Saorview is still working fine. I checked all of the wires going into the box and nothing is loose (the FTA cable is far more secure than the saorview in fact).

If I recall right, the channels were knocked one of the nights of the high winds, I'm not sure if it could have caused an issue with the dish.

Just wanted to get opinions here before I pay out for someone to have a look.

    Thanks.

Before you go moving you dish about look at the lnb (where the cables screw in) it may be that thw wind shook th sat enough the your lnb skew moved, have someone watchin the tv while you firstly lossen the screw in the bracket only enough that you can turn the lnb clockwise when your facing the dish, you should hear a couple of clicks, LNB's should not be level (perpendicular to the ground) but slightly offset. if that doesnt work the vid below will.

take a look at the vid here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53w7QRNFmLY

Only Sky dish LNBs 'click' when adjusting.

Can't see the wind skewing the LNB, in preference to catching the dish itself. Did it happen to you?

Yeah, had to fix 5 sats over the Xmas period 2 where the sat itself moved but the other three the lnb had moved out of position, maybe the fact all three were Oct lnbs caused them to move.

Must have been a fairly large, obvious movement to catch your attention? Certainly LNB skew wouldn't be anywhere near the top of my list of things to check after windy weather. I'd be thinking more along the lines of the arm sagging a bit from all the shaking, especially with an octo on it.

The Skew on the Lnb moved, only way that can happen if its a octo that is not designed for a sky dish in the first place or bracket isnt tightened properly...have never had an octo move on me or a quad...only the crappy made Andrew ones that the brackets snaps in the middle or where an octo designed for a large dish is put on a sky bracket which isnt rite.

Tbh where the sats were positioned and the whole set up to me looked v.shoddy and all done by the same fella representing sky, worse still he was charging 80 euros to fix them, I swear some not all but some fix them up in an area of the house where they.know at some stage they'll get a call asking to fix it. Two of the three lnb brackets were loose easy fix, those sky brackets while on the subject are very poorly made too,the hinge is far too weak and can snap off with very little pressure applied to it.
