Would there be any legal implications copying and printing posts and their comments from an open group on Facebook and displaying them in an art exhibition?

I would guess that the Facebook Terms of Use (to which users agree) entitle Facebook to copyright in those images.

    I haven't checked.

The content is still the property of those who published it. Just because it is publicly available doesn't transfer or infer any rights to use it.

You do need the consent of the person to use their postings.

What you could do is obscure the user profile pic and their name so they are not publicly identifyable.
