I am physically unable to buy a LUAS ticket, the touch screen doesn't register my touch!

I try and try , end up bating the screen before asking the person behind me to buy the ticket, embarassing

Is it just me? Oh god am I dead and noone told me??

I have tremendous problems with the Luas touch screens in particular, but also touch screens in general (tablets, phones etc.) for some reason. No idea why, but my skin is generally quite dry and non-greasy, don't know whether that's a factor.

Buy a Leap card. Top it up online.

    I'm not ginger thank god
I envy those who get their ticket so easy, tempted to jump on with a ticket but I'd be the sap that got caught

So it is me and my dead fingers then, great!

Could you borrow a finger from an elderly or unemployed person?

Try using your penis. See if that works.

Just shout at it real loudly, or cry a little.

I'm a warm creature by nature, warm hands warm heart and all that. I could employ an unemployed person for the 5 minute stint each way i suppose, pay them in coffee :) would that count as a Jobsbridge??

Did you meet a tall dark stranger at the crossroads recently and the next morning you were amazing at playing the blues?

If so you've sold your soul and touch screens and automatic doors are no longer your friend.

    Sorry.

On the plus side you're gonna get so much money, fame and bedroom action you won't know yourself so f*ck public transport.

If I had a penis I would be very sad indeed, given that I'm a woman ;)

Hmmm, could you possibly borrow a penis or maybe rent one for the day?
I'm just spit-balling here to be honest.

Its a temperature thing I presume. Lots of touch screens require temperature not pressure to read where your finger is, so if your circulation is poor and your hands are dry there may be no way for your body to conduct enough heat onto the screen.

Etip gloves would fix the problem, but is a big investment just for the sake of using the LUAS touch screen.

Otherwise you can get a penis.

If you have a penis handy it always comes down to spit-balling in the end, doesn't it?

Yeah, I generally find it's easier and cheaper to freight hop along all the heavy industrial rail / goods trains that go between Sandyford and Harcourt Street on the green line every morning.
