    Anyone have any idea how much of a trade in I'd get for 1.4 petrol 2004 vw golf? Seen on done deal from 3-5k mileage is 110k

    Around 2-2.5K would be the run of it, better off sell private, a golf will sell no problem.

    There is no set price, it will vary from garage to garage and what you plan to trade it in against.

    Also focus more on the cost to change price rather than what they give you for your old car as garages can give you a very generous price for your old car to make the deal look good when all they are doing is adding it back onto the price of the newer car.
