Is there a range of laptops that might be suited toward Linux and in particular Linux Mint? Too afraid to completely get rid of Windows and don't like dual booting. Am I completely off my trolley?

Don't know about Mint but I installed Ubuntu 12.4 on an old Dell Latitude a couple months back with no issues. The XP that was on it before was overwritten in the process (good riddance)..

Thanks for the reply (I had forgotten this thread). I saw Lenovo Thinkpads getting recommendations around the web. Went into CeX the next day and what were the two laptops they had at the counter? Lenovo Thinkpads. Baider-Meinhof phenomenon.
