Anyone used these guys recently (I did search the forum but last mention of them is a thread from 2010).
Looking at a speedmaster or a carrera with them but from speaking to the guys on the phone they don't seem to know much about watches and they have a lot of recent watches so i'm wondering are they just selling stuff from pawnbrokers .

Appreciate any feedback be it good or bad.

    Thanks

i think it's more of a slick operation than that. They have opened a retail outlet in the Royal Exchange (very upmarket) to sell to city boys. They run a lot of nights and events. Their main site is down in (?) Kent somewhere so Ive never been down. I have purchased from watches.co.uk which is run from offices above a Chinese restaurant in Chiswick. There are a lot of nearly new watches trading around London so there's not much need for them to buy pawnbroker stock.

I don't think the prices are great. Have you looked at iconicwatches.co.uk? I bought a speedy From them in December. Really impressed.

Bought a couple of watches from them, and traded one, slick operation but they are overpriced, but they have to make some money

Bought from once, no issues and professional to deal with on my purchase. You can negotiate the price.

I've tried haggling but they only seem to budge by 100 quid or 150 max which isn't much on a 2.5k watch.
They've said "it's new stock so we can't reduce it" and stuff like that.

Just out of interest what kind of percentage did you manage to get off them when you bought yours Cyrus?

    Thanks

well it all depends on what you are looking at and if the asking price is in any way reasonable, for example i bought my JLC MC chrono from them, the initial asking price wasnt obscene and i got a further £300 off. Added to that i wasnt happy with the strap when the watch came so they sent me a new one rather than take the watch back, and the strap was a £250 alligator from JLC.
